Our Activities
Kalunga Shilpanchal Bidyalaya (School) aims at overall development of students.
Besides Education, students are encouraged to participate in sports, Arts, music, plantation etc. Students are made to participate in science fest and other stimulating activities.
Children’s Day Celebration: On 14 November Children’s Day was celebrated at Kalunga Shilpanchal Bidyalaya. Dr. Banamali Kar (Retd. Principal from Ispat English Medium School) motivated children present. He stressed mental and physical growth essential for future development. Few students participated in debate, cultural programme and fancy dress competition, which were appreciated a lot.
Our Co-Curricular Activities
Block Level Science Exhibition:
On 02 December 2023, School participated in a block level Science Exhibition at ST. JOHNS SCHOOL. Students presented a project on drip irrigation and integrated farming. It’s a great exploration of the creative talent of the students and also learning new facts, invention with a zeal of interest.
Band
School has its own Band, which perform on special days eg Independence Day, Republic Day, School Foundation Day, Children’s day, Teachers Day.
Hockey Team
Dental Check-up Camp :
On 3rd February, 2024, a Dental health check-up camp was organised at the School with the help of LIONS CLUB, Rourkela and IDA (Indian Dental Medical Association). Total 10 doctors and School Hony. Secretary and Committee Members were present at the camp.
School Annual Sports Event:
On 8th February,2024 School organized annual sports at its premises. ll Team
Football Team
School also has its own football team of Boys and Girls.
Homeopathy Clinic
This Homeopathy clinic was established in 2003 for health check-up of our students and nearby villagers.
(School & Block level) – 2022-23
In December 2022, Kalunga Shilpanchal Bidyalaya had conducted a Science exhibition in School. MR. R N Sahoo from (IFGL) and Mr. C S Chandan (TRIDENT) came to school as a guest of honor
This School level Science Project was specialization about Water Pollution, Environmental .Health & Cleanliness, transport & Innovation, Eco Friendly materials and Pythagoras Theorem etc.
In December, 2022 a Block level Science Exhibition was organized through Block level education department at ST. John’s English Medium School. Many of our students participated in this event.
